Bill you are right. I am thankful that many people do take the time to list
things on eBay that might otherwise get thrown away or perhaps lost from an
estate. Some people get into bidding wars but all that is fair and very good
for the seller at least! Some of us can't help but be amazed at the prices some
things get bid up to though!
Perhaps someone has an otherwise mint R-390A and loves the receiver, but it
is missing one thing - the carrier level meter. Where else is someone likely
to find something like that in a hurry except on eBay! He may be willing to
spend $200 or more for a meter to complete his beloved receiver. One could
spend a lifetime of hunting through hamfests and not find exactly what they are
looking for so eBay can be a wonderful resource.
