Try these two links.  So far they are the only online documents relating to the system that I have found online.  I have also found a photo of a unit in operation if you haven't found that yet. If you find anything else on the R-725, please let me know.

or any other manual variant for this direction finder system which used the
R-725/TRD Radio Receiver.
