[R-390] Fowler Industries R-390A Past the $8000 mark and rising

I know nothing for sure...but I'm guessing the final to be somewhere between 
9.5k and 9.8K.  I'm guessing reserve at 9.5K.

There is no doubt, this, the radio of radio's will be the eBay R-390A record 
of all records...

Interesting side note....if you are into guitars.  Check out the price of 
Fender Stratocasters of the same era as the typical R-390A.  (late 50's 
early 60's)  The more played and worn the higher the price...some of those 
going for 30K+.  Those were the years!

I've noticed one of our own has put a "Fallout" catcher "Pro Restored 
R-390A" up for bid at the same time...no doubt hoping to catch one of the 
unlucky bidders on the Fowler with a "relatively"  sedate price compared 
with that of the Fowler....but well above what would have been considered 
the market prior to the Fowler going on the block.  We'll see if that sales 
strategy flies....

An interesting week to be sure.....
