Hi , what kind of rock ? Does anyone know how hot a rock gets when you
throw it? There were a lot of small rocks (rocket.ets) thrown tonight that
looked rather warm, happy 4th, 29 days to go on this thread. I really
should hook my 390 up again since moving but I hate to get up on the roof in
this hot weather to connect up my new antenna. So far I've been using the
ground shield on the TV cable coax to my radio room as an antenna for the
NRD-525. The coax connects to nothing at the central box upstairs where the
incoming cable feed is distributed. Signals seems a little weak, probably
about like a 20 ft length of wire. Maybe I should jumper the coax to a
longer run that was put in by the builder to accomodate a tv dish antenna.
That would give be a least 50 feet more of coax shield to use as an antenna.
Dan.

What is all this nonsense about an isolation xformer, like I have said
before plug the the radio in and listen to it, I really think I could give
some of you guys a "rock" and you could creat a thread that could on for a
month..
W2DBO said that..
