I'd never guess that antenna array to be of any use on HF?  What's up with 
that.   Looks like VHF Yagi's.....maybe some frequency downconverting going 
on in there somewhere....

I don't see anything in the picture that I would expect to be doing that 
job.  One of the R-390A's looks to have a frequency counter mounted above 
it.  Not sure what the other is unless it's a mixer of some sort to put the 
audio from both radio's on tape...

Not sure what is mounted below desktop...

Interesting stuff....
