California, especially pre-1970s, is hot stuff and as you can see, 
people pay big bux for the Holy grails.  This is one of them.

And, you can't even use it for anything except frame it and hang it 
on your wall.  It's bragging rights, pure and simple!

In the event that one might think that this is off-topic, it aptly 
illustrates that what might appear to the uninitiated and uninformed 
this is worth a buck at best.

Collecting anything is a very serious and interesting psychological 
quirk in mankind.

So the goodies we collect are not so bad after all.  We can do more 
with them than just display them.  We can use them and enjoy them 
which is more that I can say about other collecting hobbies.
