Technically I believe this practise is against eBay's rules as it is
most definitely a misleading title. However unless someone reports
it to the eBay Police Department it will probably run through its
course and end with a sale.
Seller's feedback is okay with several "neutrals" and four
negs. Negatives resulted from problems regarding packing and
shipping; nothing about items not being as advertised.
I personally think that anyone who is knowledgeable about R-390As
will assess this radio on its own merits and bid accordingly. It
looks like a nice clean original radio. I wonder how you "misplace"
a cover??
I would say that if you wanted a nice clean EAC and don't worry too
much about the price this would be a reasonable buy. However, given
his history, I would make sure to clarify all the shipping details
and costs first.
Then again, I am not a potential buyer as I have enough radios
(including R-390As) to keep me amused for a long time so I am pleased
to see that they are so popular. It wasn't that long ago that they
could be had for $100 or less. It will be interested in seeing what
it sells for.
