[R-390] Radio Mart burned my @#$%$ again

I have to concur with Rick's observations about RM.
Martyn's operation is about 25mi from my qth, and I have had one
dealing with him, which went very well. He seemed very
business-like and determined to make me happy. I have also spoken
with JAWS club members who have bought and sold many items with RM
and have had no problems. Surprisingly, one person purchased a
Collins receiver and it turned out to be DOA. Martyn immediately
replaced it with a better receiver with no complaint.
Granted, many people have complained about his ethics, and his
feedback reflects this fact. However, he has done MANY
transactions, and I would expect a small percentage to fail. My own
experiences as a buyer on e-Bay have taught me to expect 10-20%
disappointment from all sellers. If I were to consider purchasing
something really expensive from him, I would want to contact him
(by phone, or at least by e-mail) and assure myself about what I am
getting into.
