[R-390] 390A---and a bedside radio

My vote would be to pick up a used Icom R75. It's the best value in general
coverage receivers out there....It's performance is very close to the Drake
R8 series and with a few modes it keeps up with receivers costing 3 to 4
times as much...
It's a great radio....
Can probably pick up one used for under $400
