Ed,
Try Jim Beam Rye Whiskey in the square bottle with the yellow  label.
Michael Jackson ( the whiskey writer, not the child molester/entertainer  ) 
says it is one of the ten best whiskeys in the world. 
I agree. It is also very modestly priced. 
I frequently sit down to listen to my R-390 with a little Jim Beam Rye  and 
water. It does not make the radio work better, but it makes the listener  
happier.

Ive also heard reference to an "813" - a good drink of  rye
whiskey.

Darn! I never heard that one before but I do like a good  rye. Its not easy
to find in the US but when I worked in Canada they had some  great rye. Here
the common one is Old Overholt. Maybe its time to pull the  sides off the TCK
to check out the 813's??? (required BoatAnchor  content)
