[R-390] R-390A Black Front Panel Receiver For Sale On E-Bay

Hi

As a piece of history I agree that S/N 1 of any of the contracts should 
be worth something. Given how easy it is to make tags I think that I 
would want to see more than just a snapshot of the tag.

For several years a guy at the Hostraders Hamfest would sell you a name 
tag with just about anything on it you wanted. His staples were things 
like number 100 on the original Collins contract. He made no claims 
about them being original. He sold them so people could have a nice 
looking front panel on their 390A's.

I'm not sure that a matching modules radio new from the box would 
*work* any better than a radio that's been in the field. I would bet 
that the radio that has been used may be the better radio in terms of 
reliability.

If a black front panel is worth $3000 I wonder what a white front panel 
radio would be worth?
