I have been hamming for 43 years.
I started with crystals and a CW rig.

Its been fun. Some years I operate, some years I email.

I am writing because I don't like the tone of this discussion regarding various opinions on how to.

This is sposed to be fun boys, there is no reason to get all out of sorts over a radio set that the government doesn't want and either do most hams. 

Perhaps because most of us with these and other older sets are older hams we may be a bit set in our ways.
If you youngsters want to fight be careful.

Brawn works for brains. That's the way of the world. Tough guys finish last.

Lets be civil. Rude will be asked to leave.
