Losing filament in both tubes at the same time is a little hard to believe, I think what happened since this is a full wave pwr supply you can lose one tube and the B+ stays the same value, the only difference is the ripple freq goes to 60 HZ instead of 120HZ, but the chokes and fliter caps in this RX are very good and you might not even know the difference.  Might be interesting to pull one out and see if its noticable..
