[R-390] 7 +000 alignment

Hello Friends,
I have a question concerning the mechanical alignment at 7 +000 of the 
cams. My Motorola has lines but they are not long enough to be seen 
through the holes. My question is: Does the tip or high part of the cam 
line up the same as the hole? In other words can I use the tip of the 
cam to line up with the line? Or is it that critical? I can see how the 
hole can be very accurate alignment, but that line is not real fine. 
Any help would be appreciated. I have the gear train cleaned, deburred 
and back together, and am working on the mechanical alignment now.
