Harry, you can run the rcvr from outboard power until you find a
suitable replacement. the b+ voltage doesn't have to be exact.  You
can remove the bad transformer, remove the end bells and examine for
shorts, opens. etc. I just got a flyier from Fair Radio. They have a
variety of power transformers. Peter Dahl can hand fabricate a
replacement.
