[R-390] Multiple Radios

Hi
Well like anything it's a matter of supply and demand.
Without the extra stuff that went with it the radio does not do
anything that the R-390A didn't do. So in that sense it's not worth any
more.
Of course there are people out there trying to rebuild the entire
system. If they have the synthesizer I'm sure a R-1274 is something
that is now on their wish list. From what I have seen the radios are a
lot more common than the synthesizers. I suspect that the radios went
back into normal service when the synthesizers no longer were worth
maintaining.
One other interest group would be those witches involved in things like
putting a solid state synthesizer in place of the original external
box. Not many people will admit to this form of deviant behavior in
public though.
If you can find somebody in either of these two small groups then I'm
sure the radio is worth a premium to them. You may spend quite a while
looking for one of them though.
Not that it has any relevance to the value of the radio, but what do
the tags on it read?
Take Care!
