I'll agree with that, in spades. 

My garage is (as appears to be a common arrangement) the catchall 
storage place, my workshop, and my operating position. It would be 
absolutely uninhabitable in summer if it weren't for the air 
conditioner I installed. The gas heater keeps it warm enough in 
winter, too. Now all I have to do is clear out enough stuff to be 
able to work ... .

The air conditioner and heater don't have tubes, but a lot of the 
radios do.
