The FRA-86 is not an R-390. It is a DFSK demod used with FLEXCOP, a TDM
demod system. It was used R-390a's modified with a ten turn counter on
the BFO knob. The system is on exhibit at the NSG Museum in front of Ft.
Meade.

SRI modified some R-390's to be used in a Special Teletype Intercept
System used especially for cyrillic encoded traffic. It was the
