Remember, "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy". I have not been on
this list all that long and I now have 3 R-390As and 3 SP-600JXs to
restore. I've been a ham for over 50 some years and love boat anchors. I
think I've been around here for just a few months now and am a real novice
when it comes to R-390As compaired to many members on here. So far I've
learned a lot, and almost everyone has acted as a gentleman. I don't mind
the humor and am guilty of putting some of it out on the reflector myself.
(At least it was humorous to me). I feel I have even made some new friends
on here too. The list has not been too busy to not be able to support a
little fun once in awhile. In fact I have enjoyed the humor from some of
those that have helped me greatly lately with my restoration projects. I
thought most of the humor was very clever. I can tell you I have received
master pieces of private e-mail from members of this list giving me great
sound advice and concern for my restoration efforts. They took a lot of
their time writing me and helping me. You don't realize how much I
appreciate those notes. None of those folks were any of the complainers.
Aside from all this, life is too short to complain when things don't always
go the way we wish them to go. We all need to look more at the bright side
of things for our own good mental health. There is no perfect reflector and
people make mistakes and are human. (As perfect as I am, my wife tells me I
screw up all the time)! Who am I to complain about others? Who made me any
kind of expert to give others grief? Things also look a lot stronger in
print then if said in person anyway. We just need not to take things too
seriously especially ourselves! I think if we all held back nasty e-mail
for a day before sending it a lot less would be sent. We have more in
common then differences.
I'll take this list anyway it is delt to me! Count me in. The price is
right.
