I also have an RA17-in fact, mine is THE unit decommissioned from the 
Washington, DC Executive Offices of Radio Free Europe when the USSR folded 
and so did RFE. I also have the analog version of the LF converter (RA-37A) 
for it, extending the range all the way down to audio (10kHz - 980 kHz).
