Hey John,

I don't think this is a dead horse and I bet some other members don't
either. I think it can be healthy in the R-390A scheme of things. Hank keeps
talking about the Road-Gen Schwartzkopf radio of his and how good it is.
Interesting. Chuck once had a great opportunity to have one of his R-390As
up next to the supposed R-390A killer, the WJ HF-1000 for comparisons at a
DXpedition. Again, interesting stuff. Nah, don't worry about it. I never get
tired of learning. Sometimes, learning about the new stuff is good for some
chuckles.

Chucks head to head with the HF-1000 was interesting to me because of how
well the boatanchor performed and Chuck's comments about the shielding
properties of the heavy duty chassis. The HF-1000 suffered from internal
hash regeneration via one of the inputs on the back. Good comparisons on the
shielding issue. 

Anyway, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
