[R-390] Ballast tube

After reading some posts on how much a ballast tube should glow in an R390a,
I decided to check mine. Took off the top cover and tube shield and could
not see any glow at all. The radio was turned on and working. Felt the tube
and it was very hot, as expected. I looked closely at the tube and was not
able to read the markings on it. Removed it and still couldn't read the
markings on it. I don't know if it is the correct ballast tube or not but it
does not glow, even in the dark.

Anyone out there had the same experience or have any ideas on the subject?
