[R-390] Variac

Friends,

Wise thing to do?  Three items?  The two rec, one 390
non, and one SP 600, and the Rec. Monitor, 40W. Would
this not solve the prob of inrush voltage, as well as
other "overstress"?

Just never understood when it was discussed before,
and since it was mentioned by someone, it made me
think of it again..
