<PRE>Greetings to everyone! I recently joined the mailing list and hope I can
contribute. In my experiences in shipping these radios I have always seemed
to have pretty good success when I insist on having the receiver
Double-Boxed. Even if the shipper does not do a first-class job of packing,
the chances of survival are much greater if I have the sender double-box the
radio. Especially on eBay ask the seller to describe how he will be packing
the radio while you are bidding, before the auction is over, and insist on
having the radio double-boxed. A seller who is concerned will always try to
do his best to make sure the radio will arrive safely. So far I have never
had a radio arrive in damaged condition when it was double-boxed. I am sure
there are exceptions to this but double-boxing increases the radio's chances
for survival tremendously. 73 Todd WD4NGG .
