Speaking of the H-P 8640, I have one for sale.  It's the mil version, 8640 option
323, covering 500 khz to 512 mhz, but as Dave Wise noted, the actual coverage is a
bit beyond that range.  It has a nice calibrated attenuator and calibrated AM and
FM modulation.  I removed the transit case long ago, so it sits nicely on a
benchtop with a black front panel that is slightly larger than the commercial HP
version.

$200 plus shipping.  Great for aligning R-390s or any other HF or VHF receiver,
very stable and typical HP quality.
