At a local audiophile store they had this real fancy, beautifully flexible
audio cable which has beautiful clear electric blue and black
insulation and was 7 bucks a foot. I purchased three feet
of it. You should have seen the look on the sales clerks face when
he heard I was going to use it for the wiring on a beautiful deluxe
grade "bug". He really got "interesting" when I pointed out to him all of
the claims made about this cabling where a bunch of horse crap, that
the only thing going for it was the nice insulation and the flexibility.
One thing though I have to do thank the people who spend mega bucks on
auto sound systems. All of the nice power cabling, fuses, terminal blocks,
etc designed for these sound systems also make real nice wiring harnesses
for mobile HF gear.
