[R-1051] Compatible Modules

That's one of the problems I had too. One of the first. I had my radio sort of working in just a few days, but shaking out the rest took months. Don't pop out the champagne too quick and you'll be fine. Good luck, and keep us posted.

Dave

Thanks Dave. I just started to work abt 3 - 4 days ago. Hopefully the only problem is the one i've found so far. The A2A6A1 module motor is not operating in the 1mhz unit. Since it is not turning the rotary switch that changes the crystals for the different frequencies the 20vdc never comes on line and fires up the receiver. I've got the module out right now and the brushes in the motor read open on the ohm meter. I took the motor apart spun the motor shaft and they now show a resistance. that may be all that was needed - I hope. This radio had been siting in a shed for a LOOONNNGGG time. The schematics for this radio are terrible..... i guess because it was a hybrid and the people who prepared the manual were use to tubes.... Anyway thanks for the info.
