I'm a bit puzzled about that, Rick. Does your cabinet/rack have rails only
at the front? Mine have rails at front and back, so that both ends of the
slides are supported, and so that I can put a pair of angle iron supports
from front to back on each side for the big heavy stuff instead.

I do agree that the R-1051 brackets extend back along the radio on each
side so that more than just the front end is supported, and think that's a
good thing.
