I'm not real familiar with the "F" model. It's probably a variant of
another more common model....like the "D" or maybe the G/H. Andy Moorer has
the Plain and H model manuals on his site his site www.jamminpower.com
The plain probably won't be any real help but the H will be a good reference
with lots of good description stuff.
Andy also has a "B" manual scanned with would be some help also....between
the "B" and the "H" you should be able to find what you need.
These radio's come up to frequency in about 20 minutes if the oven in the
Frequency Standard is working properly. My first suggestion is to check the
5 Mhz output on the rear after the radio has been on for a half hour. You
will have to use a very accurate frequency counter because the frequency
standard in the radio is most time more accurate than the test equipment
most folks own. The one I use can watch the standard output down to tenths
of a cycle. A properly adjusted and working Frequency Standard module will
vary little more than a few tenths of a cycle over a 24hr period.
If you have to adjust the standard frequency don't do it until the radio has
run closed up for 24 hours.
The adjustment is usually backwards also...you adjust counter clockwise for
an increase in frequency. I usually adjust in half turns when getting close
to on frequency. I usually open the radio quickly...make an adjustment
quickly and close it back up and let it run for 15 minutes to settle. Then
recheck.
As far as the connectors go the info in one of the other members posts has
all the info down near the bottom of the thread I believe. I have bought
them from Allied Electronics new. They are hard to find surplus.
Hope that helps...
Cecil...
