Lee, I forgot to add my thoughts on the frequency. If every frequency from 2 
  to 30 mhz is off 3 khz, It most likely would be the gear chain or gear 
clamps slipping in the KC selector knob. Maybe the numeral disk behind the 
window has slipped. If it is just some bands or frequencies off, It could be 
a can of worms. It being the F model isn't good because there doesn't seem 
to be a lot of data published on the late models.
