Not too darn hard to miss Joseph. Very little traffic! Sometimes the R-390
list carries R-1051 traffic. Nevertheless, the qth.net archives for this
list should have some important/interesting discussion threads on the
radio. Should give them a read if you haven't yet.

I have a "D" myself. Someday I will find a "D" manual. Most available
manuals I had found over time (usually xerographic copies) are for the "B"
and perhaps the plain version. The Fair Radio Sales Partial Reprint (tm)
that I bought seven years ago is for the "B". Significant differences.
Wouldn't mind finding a complete .pdf manual for the "D". The long
fold-outs are a pain to scan/copy though.

I like the rig. Have had some fun DXing with it occasionally before we
moved into this house. Need better antenna now but will get to that project
When I Get Around To It (another 'tm') ;-)

As you likely know already it's not a real band cruiser like the SP-600
series but a real good set-it-and-forget receiver. Should be good to set at
14.325 MHz in order to monitor the Hurricane Watch Net at various times
during the past month.

I'm sure Cecil may have replied to you on this already. These can be a
bugger to work on. In fact, the whole radio can be such sometimes.

Good luck with it.

Hey! This is the most activity seen here for a long time!

Regards, Chris F.
