[R-1051] Power interlock questions

Thanks to Barry as well,

I'm sure this is in the manual but I was having a hard time with my DSL
connection timing out on downloads of that size.  Thanks for getting me
started.  A locking interconnect(!) and there I was getting a blister
holding down the lever watching the turret spin!  .... Yes it doesn't take
much to keep me entertained...

Hi John

The front interlock switch is "lockable". I forget exactly, but when you
have it opened up, you press down on the actuator (nylon wedge) and either
pull forward or back so it catches in the down position.  However, when you
close the case, I think it releases.  If it makes a solid connection in the
open-but-locked position, if you remove the nylon altogether, it might not
pop when the chassis is closed.

Also, as I recall, the height is adjustable on the switch mechanism, so if
it's touchy, you can raise the switch body and bracket upwards.  I don't
know if any glue or epoxy will stick to nylon, but you might try putting
some tape across the top portion of it.  Actually that might be sufficient
to push it down a bit further when the chassis is slid back into the
cabinet.
