[R-1051] New to the list with two R-1051B's and a T-827D/URT

Greetings,

Just picked up two of these beasts and thought it best to sign up here.
After looking at the archives and seeing many of the same very helpful
people that are on the R-390 list I'm sure that I'll be able to keep these
(well, at least one) up and running.  I blame Alex and his article on the
restoration of the Albacore's shack for this addition to my BA collection.
For some strange reason rather than scare me away from these radios he
sparked an interested in them.  Boy and I thought that the transmission on
the R-390(A) was complex.  Alex if you see this you may be sorry that you
ever suggested that I look at your story!
