[R-1051] R-1051 Help

It would be an EXCELLENT price for a fully functional and cosmetically nice
rig. For one that receives only at 10 MHz, it's a good price if you want to
put it on display, opened up, for all to marvel at the unsurpassed
complexity and quality of the best example of the last generation of what I
characterize as "electronicomechanical wonder" equipment.

Depending on your skills and patience, you could tear into the rig with test
equipment and a service manual, or correspond with Cecil Acuff. Or you could
wait for someone else with more knowledge than I have to respond on this
reflector and give you some actually helpful guidance, like the URL for
Cecil's R-1051 homepage!

Welcome to the club. And if you've never seen the inside of a '1051, go open
yours now and marvel.
