Ok I'm up to speed now, if you look at the bottom of the turret you will see
a couple sets of finger contacts through slots, these are the ones that make
the turret stop in the correct spot, they frequently get dirty and cause
that problem or the thing just spins forever, some of the deoxit (best
contact cleaner in the world) into the slots and if you rock the 1 mc knob
back and forth and keep the turret moving to work the stuff into the whole
ring will usually solve the problem, also there is an adjustment for the
stop points, it is made by moving the finger contacts back or ahead in the
track on the bottom of the turret. this adjustment will only do anything if
the unit stops ahead or behind on EVERY band, if like you say it works on
some and not on others it is certainly the contacts. the selector decks
(code generator) on the back of the 10 and 1 mc knob are a second place to
look and hit with the deoxit!!
