Folks - ONE WEEK TO FUN!!

This message is aimed at getting you to bring a project to FDIM to the
RADIO SHOW and TELL. Also, see fdim.qrparci.org for full info on QRP
activities.

RADIO SHOW AND TELL will be held on Friday night in conjunction with
Vendor night at the Holiday Inn, Fairborn. There will be 2 categories -
Competitive and well Non-competitive. You should plan to bring your
projects between 7:30 and 8PM for setup if at all possible. Each
participant should try to limit their display to half a folding table OR
LESS. The crowds will enter at 8PM. BTW visitors are welcome to this
evening event - it's FREE! There is even a way to win a prize for all
who attend the RADIO SHOW AND TELL!

Here are some key points:

1. If you would like for your project to be judged, you will sign in and
pick up an appropriate TENT card at the check in table. Judges will
come around after 8:30 to form their opinions and winners will be
announced at the banquet (you need not be present to win). In fact, you
need not be present to enter - send your project with a friend.

2. If you simply do not wish to compete OR if your project has won
before at Dayton/FDIM (yes, bring them too), then you ask for the
appropriate TENT card, no sign-in required. See list in #5 below for
ideas of what to bring.

3. A short description should accompany your displayed item(s). This is
not necessary but helpful. If your entry is for the competition, pls
use one tent card per entry - 2 projects per person limit.

4. To entice more competitive entries, every person entering will
receive a goodie bag of parts worth quite a few dollars. DID YOU SEE
THIS??? Every entry is a winner!

5. Judges will decide how many prizes to give away and therefore there
are no categories. So bring any project you'd like - rigs, test
equipment, antennas, keys, gadgets, kits, tunatin2s, Altoids. Just make
sure it relates to QRP in some way! And again limit to 2 projects per
person please in this category.

You may stay with your entry but we ask that you not originate
communication with the judges (that applies to all your friends nearby)
If the judge has a question for you, he will ask you. You may leave
your entry if you wish and walk around. Just be sure your TENT card
with its unique serial number is visable.

Let's have a real good turnout on the building contest this year. It's
more informal than in the past so don't be scared!!

Have you registered for FDIM? Not too late to do it online or at the
door. FDIM2006 - over $10,000 in prizes and giveaways for those
registered for the banquet and the seminars!!! Don't miss this one!!
