[QRP] FDIM/Dayton QRP Build-a-thon

Paul Alexander, our FDIM Build-a-thon coordinator, just posted this on 
QRP-L and FP list.  I am posting on several other lists as information.  
The build-a-thon is Thursday, May 18 from 5 to 8PM.  You do NOT have to 
participate in any other QRP functions to participate in the 
build-a-thon.  In other words, if you can't get to Dayton in time for 
the seminars all day Thursday but can make it to the build-a-thon, you 
can still do it.  This is being handled directly by Paul and his 
helpers.  All payments go to Paul by Check or Money Order.  And the 
deadline to sign up is April 15.

We are finally ready to begin taking orders for the 2006 FDIM
Buildathon. This year we will be building the K1EL K40 keyer kit.
This kit is a keyer which takes input from a standard PC-type keyboard
and turns it into CW! You can see details of the K40 at:

Click on the "Products" button.

While we will only build the basic K40 board at the buildathon, we
will also be offering the LCD and enclosure kit for you to build on
your own. The kits will be delivered to FDIM, so, you will save the
cost of shipping.

As in the past, we are asking builders to bring their own tools.
Here is a suggested list of tools:

Soldering pencil
Solder
Small diagonal cutters
Small needle nose pliers
Small flat blade screwdriver
Small Phillips screwdriver
Power strip (optional)

Prices are as follows:
Basic K40: $34.00
LCD: $12.00 (optional)
Enclosure: $29 (optional)

This year's Buildathon will be limited to the first 35 builders.

The deadline for signing up will be April 15th.
