Chuck, K7QO, always has his list of things to bring and ways to "hunt".
Well, here are a couple more that didn't make his list - can you add to it??
1. QSL card for your door! (and tape to stick it on). This has grown
over the years and is lots of fun to see who is in the same hallway as you.
2. Altoids projects - Don't forget to bring any Altoids projects to put
out at the Radio Show - Saturday's "after the banquet" bash where all
entries in the construction contest and anyone else wanting to simply
show a project can display their project! Heck, I'd even expect some of
you who are in Thursday's Build-a-thon to show off your project! Be
sure to label with your call all your projects. Any unlabeled become
the property of the FDIM Chairman at 10 PM promptly! HI HI
3. Here's an altruistic one - any unbuilt kits (or other appropriate
prize) that you pretty much are never going to get around to building?
How about donating them to the "recycled door prize" collection! No
HALF built kits please!! You may even have won it at a previous FDIM!!
We won't tell! Helps the club make this event - bigger than ever AND
your name goes in the list of prizes on the website and in QQ!!
4. Your digital camera - Did I have to mention this? Well, here is my
point. My chief scribe and photog had to cancel his plans to attend
soooooo I want you to take as many digitals as you care to and then send
them all to me after the weekend. If you can identify anybody in them,
that would be nice but who cares (wait, what if someone's wife sees him
in a photo and he was supposed to be in Vegas gambling, I never thought
of that?) Send them to w4qo at amsat.org as soon after the show as
possible so I can get the best ones in the next QQ and many on the
website. Still looking for a scribe - someone with a new laptop (or
old) who can write up his impressions of the event for me. Please step
forward and identify yourself.
Excitement is building! Remember, you may still reserve online using
paypal (too late for snail mail) and you may register at the door for
the seminar (space permitting). And for everyone who will be there on
Thursday, there will be a special announcement you will not want to miss
- only for Thursday participants!
