No, Steve, I don't use either but have a friend 
that I help that uses the IronHorse or HamStik
type antennas and has used them on a little
mast he takes with him.  Sometimes they
are just on a 5 foot mast on a tripod out in
a parking lot and we have maintained contact
over several hundred miles on 40.  He also
has one of the fibreglass pushup poles that
was mentioned on the qrp-L a few months
ago, similar to the dk9 or MFJ masts, and
his success has been pretty good with just
a vertical wire and a couple of counterpoise
wires on the ground.  It also works pretty
well with the wire as an Inverted L, and 
with a 300 ohm center fed dipole.  clear
wire and 300 ohm line keep the profile low.
