IMHO the best small multi-band portable antenna is the magnetic loop currently made in two models by MFJ. I have had excellent results with mine with as little as two watts. Just be sure to hang or mount it as far away from sentient beings as possible because a lot of radiation may be expected from a very small area. de W6AXM
