I think that is tough to answer because the QRP kit field is so
wide... it ranges from things like the tiny one evening

If I had to single out a couple of popular kits:
 DSW-II  easy to build, easy to operate, easy to carry

	 My older original DSW-20 is a fun rig.
	 
 KX-1    a newer entry, but crams a LOT of operating flexibility
         into a small, easy to carry package.  It seems to be
	 taking the QRP CW world by storm.
