QCWA Bulletin 2013-013 - Alan Jay Pickering, KJ9N - Silent Key

It is with sadness QCWA reports that QCWA Life Member, #26707, Alan 
Pickering, KJ9N, passed away on June 29, 2013. He was 75.

Alan was a former QCWA National Board member from 1996 to 2006, and 
QCWA National Secretary from 2003 to 2006.

In 2003 Alan also began editing a bi-monthly column in the World 
Radio magazine dealing with general topics of interest to Amateur 
Radio Operators.

He was an ARRL Life Member, a Life Member of The Old, Old Timer's 
Club of Amateur Radio, as well a member of The Pelican Chapter 128 
and The Gator Chapter 32.
