QCWA Bulletin 2013-012C - QCWA Director Val Erwin, W5PUT - Announces 
Resignation

For health and personal reasons, Director Val Erwin, W5PUT, has 
regretfully tendered his resignation.

Val's resignation message to the Board, "I need to simplify and 
refocus my life on family and health. Accordingly, at this time I 
regretfully tender my resignation from the QCWA Board of Directors".

Val was elected to the QCWA Board of Directors and began his term on 
September 1, 2006. In 2006 he co-chaired the External Relations 
Committee and during 2007 - 2012 he served on the Chapter Relations 
Committee and advisor on the Finance Committee. Erwin also served on 
the ad hoc "General Manager and Editor Search Committee" from 
February to December, 2011. Beginning September 1, 2012, he served as 
Chair of the newly named Standing Committee, Chapter and Member Relations.

Pursuant to the QCWA by-laws, Article III, Section 6, "Such vacancies 
shall be filled by nomination and election by a majority vote of the 
Board of Directors."
