Hi George,

Learned tricks, yes, remembered, not so much!

Good to hear from you, I hope you and Francis are both doing well.

I retired in December of 2013 and Linda and I a really enjoying ourselves.

We leased a Chrysler Van(made in Windsor buy the way!) and have over 24,000
miles on it already.

Still have not figured out how/where to mount the radio in it yet. Not a
lot of extra room the them anymore.

73 my friend!

Hi Bob.....I always wondered where you learned your tricks !

My Elmer was Bunny Utronki VE3AVD who ran the radio repair shop
in RENFREW, Ont. (Notice...no tv yet.) years 1935/46).

His call translated to "Always Very Dry" on the air.

At the QCWA breakfast this morning I sat with Betty Newkirk,

VE3ZBB who is thw widow of W2BRD/VA3ZBB.(Rodney Newkirk)who was

one of the Editors of ARRL's QST for many years. He died here

in Ottawa a litle over a year ago . Rod and Betty are/were both QCWA

members of Chapter 70.We have always spoken to and about Rod as

the instigator of the ham "ELMER"

Cheers

George VE3BNO
