[QCWA] QCWA and the OOTC

OK GUYS,
I've been reading emails from some guys that want to ruin QCWA by allowing
un-qualified hams and even SWL's to call themselves "Quarter Century". THAT
SUX BIG TIME. Just because someone "likes electronics", it doesn't qualify
them to be real "Quarter Century Hams".
I totally agree with Jefrey D Ahgus- NO - ABSOLUTELY NOT. He hit the nail
right on the head. This new idea is just another approach to attempt to get
people admitted into the realms of QUARTER CENTURY without qualifying.
There would be a flood of unqualified hams eager to be a part of our
prestigeous group. I won't stand for even just one. The day we start
allowing UN-qualified hams to call themselves QUARTER century, the
organization will lose it's clout and prestige and I'll be the first to bow
out of it. If quarter century no longer means anything, then I don't want
to be a part of it. The idea of incorporating a bunch of un-qualified
hams - sux. Let each organization keep on being it's own entity. QCWA has
nothing to gain and everything to lose by making such a move. I'm certain
that there is a lot of other purists out there besides me - they need to
speak up and keep this ridiculous idea from happening or going any further.
