[QCWA] International Growth & Communication

Jeff,

The roster member count was 6911; not 6500. You can round that to 6900 or 7000.

PDF publishing has to be the most cost-effective way of getting a message out.
Usually, there is an add-on for just about any "layout" program that will create
a PDF file from the designed document.

I publish a monthly club newsletter using MS Publisher. The free add-on is
called CutePDF Writer. It loads up as a printer subsystem.

I am not at all sure that it would be feasible to create a PDF document out of
the whole QCWA Journal without it being too large to send via email. However,
that might be one question to ask: Do we need to send it via email?

One alternative to an email attachment would be a posted document on the
website, accessible by International members who have a special
username/password. In that case, the size of the resulting electronic document
is immaterial. An email notice could be sent to each International member
indicating that their "Journal" is now ready to be downloaded.

The system is not perfect, but it is a better option than no communication at
all.

Will people read it? Well, they can't if it's not available in the first place.
With electronic publishing in place, our International members will have that
choice.

Cheers,

Dave.
