Jeff......what you are seeing on the reflector is being generated by our 
"new" crop of radio amateurs many of whom have never even owned or operated 
a HF radio.
There is a QCWA member I know that is actually pursuing WAS on Echolink!!!
As my Daughter used to say "times have changed Daddy".
