[QCWA] 2008 Election Results

This has been quite a thread.

Most comments support keeping the 25 year requirement, some were off this
topic but still apply to QCWA and Ham Radio.

I did send an email directly to Steve as his comments were directed mainly
to me and the new Board of Directors. I told Steve.

tnx Steve,

I welcome whatever constructive comments anyone has to make, but I do
disagree with you.

Amateur Radio is not "s-l-o-w-l-y fading". We've seen growth in the past
few years and it's time those of us on the inside stop spreading doom and
gloom about the best hobby in the world.

The topic of; less than 25 years, associate members, friends of QCWA or
whatever else you wish to call them has been addressed by every board for at
least the past ten years. I'm not going to spend this boards time on what
appears to be an issue with little support.

That being said Steve, if you feel that a majority of the members of QCWA
feel as you do, I encourage you to seek redress in the constitution. It's
on the website as part of: http://www.qcwa.org/history.pdf. See ARTICLE VI
AMENDMENTS, Section 1 for the procedure to petition for a change in the
constitution.

I know from first hand experience that petitions can and do work in QCWA!
