[QCWA] Vintage radio calendar

Thanks Fred. I'll pass this link along to some other
people I think might like the calendar. I had one
last year and thought it was great.
A note and technique for friends who might be on
dial-up: Get a Yahoo mail account (for free.)
Then, if someone sends you a message with a large
attachment (the calendar is about 2MB, and they allow
up to 10MB I think), it sits on their server until you
are ready to download it.
Then just before you go to bed, you can set the
computer to download the file, and it'll be there in
the morning when you get up. That's an old 300 baud
BBS downloading trick.
I get everything backwards. I had ultra-high speed
internet connection at home from 1997-2000 when almost
no one had it (at a special apartment complex in
Houston that was written up in the NY Times), then for
several years after that (as cable internet went
through the big roll-out) I was stuck with dial-up.
But now that's over, and I won't even stay in a hotel
that doesn't offer high speed net access (unless I'm
really out in the boonies, which occasionally happens.
:-)
