[QCWA] Election

Hi Walt:

On the first question, I seem to recall that the basis of the complaint was that QCWA should have polled the membership before filing anything with the FCC. Actually, I was not on the responsible Committee (I was Chair of another one) at the time and tried to beg off. We were vacationing in Maine and I had to do the work with a laptop and spotty dial-up ISP. But I apparently was the only one who knew how to make such a filing.

The League filed on our vanity call sign initiative that it would lead to trafficking in call signs. I filed a "would not" reply comment.

We are enjoying one of the best springs ever here. With little rain, however, the pollen is at record level and we are all sneezing. We flew the QCWA Banner at the
Antietam (MD) Hamfest this morning and had a great time chatting with members and prospective members.

CU in Dayton.
